The taxi was clean inside and out and had plenty of power to get around . We also hired her to take us on an island tour. She was totally knowledgeable about all the sites and described in great detail. We had a private day trip with them, as well as a Friday night street party and taxi from the airport to our accommodation. They were super professional, drove well and safely, and were really knowledgeable. They really try hard to create a safe, friendly and pleasant atmosphere. However, as with all taxi and tourist offers in the city, there are some negative aspects. For example, you agree on a price (e.g. 220 USD), you want to pay by card and they say you can do so without clarifying the extra 5% charge for this. ON TOP OF THAT, they give you the worst exchange rate on the island! I don't know if they realize that these kinds of things leave a bad taste in the mouth and spoil an otherwise amazing experience. Our experience with Danis Caezar was truly one of the most memorable parts of our visit to Saint Lucia. From the first moment we met her, Danis was professional, friendly, and full of genuine warmth that immediately put us at ease.During our two-hour drive each way, she transformed a simple transfer into a full cultural and historical tour. Danis shared a wealth of information about the island’s history, political landscape, local industries, and education system. She spoke with such pride and knowledge about the people of Saint Lucia that it was impossible not to feel connected to the island through her stories. Along the way, she stopped at breathtaking viewpoints, local markets, and small villages that offered a true glimpse of everyday life. Danis was recommended to my husband I by my niece whom had precious used her services. Danis picked us up from our hotel and on the way to our first stop the rum distillery gave us a friendly commentary on all the sights. We happily arrived early at the rum distillery and had the tour with just the two of us. Then we went to the botanical gardens which were small beautiful, natural and rustic with waterfall at the end. Danis then took us on a view point of the pitons right next to the Beacon restaurant which served local food buffet style with great views over the valley. Next if was the Hotel Chocolate to make a bean to bar which involved vigorous pounding of chocolate nibs into melted chocolate. Fun but hard work! Final stop was beautiful Marigot bay. This place is gorgeous and the area where the old doctor Dolittle was filmed (one scene!). We had a water taxi take us over and had some drinks at the bar. Danis was great company and knowledgeable about St Lucia and explained the language and how things were pronounce in Creole and English. We have a fun enjoyable day and I definitely recommend hiring Danis for all your trips out or a taxi trip around the island. The driver was professional, knowledgeable Whether you're stepping off a cruise ship or staying at a local hotel, our expertly guided tours promise an unforgettable adventure in one of the world's most picturesque destinations.Posted onVerified Brilliant time had by all in St Lucia Danis took us out for a private tour for our family which was a very full day touring the island - we covered so many different places and experiences in our day seeing the most beautiful views and her knowledge and friendliness throughout was very much appreciated . We visited local traditional businesses where we sampled cassava bread made in the traditional way, along with all of the must do sights of the Pitons, Sugar Bay, Marigot Bay, the rum distillery, Cacao to taste the handmade chocolates, Soufriere and the sulphur baths , the waterfalls - I could go on and on as this is to name just a few of our stops which included lunch overlooking the Pitons and a breathtaking view. This was all at a very reasonable cost too. On another day she was also able to arrange a private boat tour for us so we could explore the island by sea which was another day that we thoroughly enjoyed and will be thinking about longingly now we have returned home.Apologies if this is along review - we also used this companies services for the return trip to the airport and for this we were driven by the lovely Kenneth. He stopped on route for us to take photographs in a lovely fishing village and at various vantage points. Unfortunately we found out that our plane was going to be delayed by several hours and Kenneth saved the day when he offered to take us to a stunning beach bar not far from the airport at Vieux Fort to while away some time so we wouldn't be stuck at the airport. We really appreciated that and all said it ended up being the best return journey ride to the airport ever. We had not visited St Lucia before and the help we received from Danis during our stay in arranging days out and Kenneth in making our return to the airport a lovely experience has left us with very good memories and eager to return.Load more
